Great job with the calendar. I think that's a great use for publisher. When I started looking at publisher I was surprised at how many different types of documents we can find for our class. This year I already have a set up to log reading minutes, but next year I may borrow your idea. Thanks for sharing.

(As for your question about time, some kids went quickly and others took forever. There is a link on the Southern Oak site http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/ that is really good for keyboarding skills. We let the kids use it and they seem to like it.)

Great job!  I was so glad to see another PPT presentation for October.  Question:  do you have a remote to click from slide to slide?  I find it awkward to stand in the front of the room and cannot always tell just how long my students will need on an individual slide (thus eliminating the possibility of timed transitions).  I work with much older children, but they would have enjoyed the ghosts and other Halloween pics.

Hi Julie,

I enjoyed reading your students' writings. How long did it take them to write them. Some of my kids take minutes just to type their own name to log onto the computers. I wish we had more time and computers so the kids could get more keyboarding practice.

Great job with your powerpoint. Is it okay to show my teachers as an example of how they can use powerpoint? YOu have done an excellent job learning ppt.. I know that your students loved learning about regrouping. Your lesson plan also was very good as well. Ann

Yes, you may show it to whomever you wish.  My class really had fun going through the PowerPoint.  In fact, they enjoyed it so much, I'm trying to do another one with regrouping with subtraction.
