Laura, I love your website! You have put a lot of work into it and it shows!! I "stole" the frog in the airplane. Now I just need to change the words to First!!
Lynn Montgomery 11/25/07
Laura-I like how you have posted all important dates for the rest of the year. I do mine a weekly basis, that seems easier. I also like how you h ave linked the textbooks for your students to use at home. I have not done that and I thnk that I will add it. Thanks for the idea. Lisa Wimmers 11/26/07
Laura, I love your website! You have thought of everything. I like how you linked the websites for at home books. I also like how you put the author series and the assisted pages to the Harcourt stories. I got lots of great ideas. Great job. Dee Arose 11/26/07
Laura, I like the way you tied in alot of your information onto on site pages rather than off site. The response time is much faster when you did this as opposed to bringing up an off-site page and I must incorporate this more. Love the important yearly dates and the textbook links you did as well. Steven Reynolds 12/31/07
My comment to Lisa Wimmers:
Lisa, Thanks for the comment. I go back and forth in my thinking about the "important date" page. I like how others have listed their full monthly calendar, but I have to admit I really like looking at just one page to see all dates for the rest of the year. Maybe I'll try the monthly calendar setup next year to see which parents prefer.

Laura, I really like your textbooks links. That page had lots of helpful sites for your students. Susan Kypriotakis 1/2/08

Becky, I love how you posted your email and your assignments. I'm a stickler about my kids copying down the assignments from my board, but I can see how handy it would be for them to have access to the assignment list any time. Plus, you can add any tips or clarifications needed as you think of them. It's a liberating idea. I think I'll try it! Lisa Rose 11/10/07

Becky,
I enjoyed seeing your website. I like that you have integrated adobe and other links on your website. I have to keep working on mine to learn how to do those types of things. Thanks, Janet
Becky-I really like your website! I am stealing the idea for the calendar being only one month at a time instead of the entire year, I think that will be easier to manage and keep up to date. Great links for the students, Im sure this is very helpful. Magen Studebaker (12/20/07)
Becky,
I really have to commend you on your detailed site. As a fellow math teacher (MEGSSS all levels) I appreciate the time and effort put into your notes and syllabus areas. PDFs really lend themselves as a nice way to consolidate all the information and I must learn to do that. Knowing how hard it is to type Math Language, you have really gone beyond the call of duty. I would like to know if there is an easier way than word to do that. Cudos. Steven Reynolds (12/31/07)
Hi Becky, I really liked your fire burning letters. I wasn't able to get back to the home page though after I statrted looking around your site. Susan Kypriotakis 1/2/08
Becky, I really like the assignments page, too. I've been in an ongoing discussion with other teachers regarding 'make them copy it from the board' and 'have it available when they need it'. It seems to me that if we're in the business of engaging and empowering, we should give them as many methods to get the information that they need to be successful as possible...and I am really excited to get ideas from others to help my students succeed! Thank you!

Your website is so detailed and exciting. I know your parents and students appreciate your hard work. Janet Harris 12/3
I am wondering how often your parents look at your website. Have you given it to them for their use? You have so much good information but it seems like a lot to keep up with. I only ask becuase I have not given my parents access yet as I am afraid to have the constant keep up...any adivce? I will probably post it this week and just have more work of the winter break...thanks for the awesome ideas. 12/7/07 Lisa Wimmers

Hi Lisa- Your site is looking great. The Engineering Design Link was not working. I'm thinking that you are still working on site, but figured I would tell you anyway. Susan Kypriotakis
Thanks for the comment. I fixed all of the links that would not link up before. not sure what happened but now they work. I also added pics for our last unit of study in engineering. Parents now have access to homework assignments and keys to what they should be helping their child with at home. I also added a reading page to link up to. I know there is still work to be done just focusing on the essentials for now. Lisa Wimmers 12/12/07

Christina,
I like that you've used your school logo on the 'front page'! I will do that, too...if I can figure it out!
I also like the links to resources and online texts. I especially like it because, although I don't want to duplicate every link on my wiki-webpage and this one, direct access to this sort of thing can be really helpful...even to other teachers! :-)

Hi Mary- I love your website, especially the Japan wiki that you set up. All the pictures reminded me of my trip this summer. The crepes are amazing- but they would always give me strange looks when I wanted to have mine with strawberries and bananas! My host family actually gave me one of those bikes to use to get to my schools with. It was great, but some of the roads were so narrow it was a little scary at times. I loved visiting the schools, at one school the students talked me into playing dodgeball with the students. Can you imagine playing dodgeball with students here?? Lunch at the schools was also great, I would eat with a different class every day. Some classes were very talkative, although at times the class would just stare at me and talk about how they couldn't believe I was eating the Japanese school lunch. Such an amazing experience, I can't wait to study Japan and share with my students. We should share lesson plans! - Magen Studebaker

My website is a site for teachers and parents to see different literacy strategies and the successes of the strategies. My goal is to update the website monthly with 3 literacy strategies and a least one success from each one. I have enjoyed learning how to create my own website and I will be showing other staff.

I will be adding more to my website, but I'm quite happy with my wiki-website and I don't want to spend a lot of time duplicating items. My students and their parents have my wiki-site address. I want to have an attractive site, though, for those who are on the PCSB website and looking for information, as I realize many will look here first or will use it as a back-up if they don't' have my wiki-site address handy. - Kathy Curry 1/6/08
