Dee Arose - I met with my principal and presented my power point of the work that I had completed this year in CTIP. My experience in CTIP has given me so much more technology that I can use in my classroom. Everything we do in Science and Social Studies we utilize technology to reinforce the learning process. My students loved the story board that we created with our science experiment. They shared it and a power point that they did on a famous person in history with their parents at their student led conference. Ninety percent of the comments that I received from the parents were regarding how much they enjoyed the technology their children had completed. We are moving into a rennovated building next year with all the latest technology in the classroom; docket cameras, interactive boards, projectors. I will be a key trainer in helping to transition many of our staff to the newer technology. Thank you for all your help and support during this year.
Susan Kypriotakis- I met with my principal yesterday and showed him all the work I had done this year. I was rather proud, not just of everything I learned but also what really great projects I had done with the students. They really enjoy doing things on the computer and it's really rewarding to see what they can accomplish. I'm really glad I had this opportunity. Thanks Jacalyn for all your help- I got really frustrated at times. Having the knowledge and getting great equipment for my classroom has made it all worth the effort. My paperwork was ponied to Ron and the CD is on its way to Jacalyn.

Magen Studebaker- As I was doing my portfolio I realized how much I had accomplished this year integrating technology further into my classroom. I think the biggest difference since CTIP is student involvement and use of technology. The meeting with my principal went well and he is appreciative of CTIP and all it is doing for our school (other teachers have also benefited at my school from CTIP). I look forward to next year when I can continue to further incorporate all of our new tools and ideas.

Lisa Wimmers-My Final Portfolio has been sent to the trainer and I am glad to have had this experience. The lesson plans were able to help me learn the technology standards and the assignments made me much more computer savvy. :) It's been FUN! I had my meeting with my principal this morning and it went great. She loves all of the projects that i had worked on throughout the year and really saw technology in action within my classroom. I am glas that I took on CTIP even though a bit late...it was very beneficial for myself, students, and other teachers.

Elisabeth Rose--My final portfolio has been sent to Jackie, and my meeting with my principal gave me the opportunity to share with him the ways I had used technology to benefit my students. We were able to share our visions for the future of our school. The final portfolio helped me reflect on the impact these new technologies have had on my teaching. Thanks to CTIP, I see how far the horizons of information, communication, and creativity have expanded for my students and me.

I have used portfolios for many purposes through the years, but this is my first experience creating a portfolio using technology; power point. Starting this program as a total 'newbeeeee,' I was impressed at what I accomplished this year. Thus, I felt good being able to move up the technology rubric we used to self assess ourselves at the beginning of this adventure. This was an overwhelming experience at times for a newbee like me...but patience and motivation to keep the wonderful technologies in my room kept me going. I have shown my portfolio to my supervising principal. She enjoyes power point presentations and was impressed with what we did in CITIP. I will have my log and the prinicpal survey in the pony very soon as well as my final CD to Jackie. May 6,08

This final portolio was a lot more fun to make than any other I have had to make in the past. It seems only natural this day in age, but I never really thought about using this before. I love Power Point and found it wonderful to make a portfolio this way. This experience has been wonderful. I am so happy with everything I have received.
My CD will be ponied by the end of the week to you Jackie. May 7, 2008

I have used electronic portfolios with my students for several years. It is a great way for my students to showcase their work. I met with my principal today and sent Ron the training log and principal survey afterward. I sent my final portfolio to Jackie also. I am so pleased at how much was accomplished this year and of course I love working with the new equipment. I have always enjoyed technology but CTIP has pushed me to try some software I would have avoided otherwise. I especially enjoyed Photostory and Inspiration and will definitely use them in my classroom again next year. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to grow and learn! 5/21/08
Wow, is it hard to connect with busy principals at this time of year. We finally got together today and she is giving me the survey form tomorrow. I'll be ponying the CD to Jackie also. I emailed the training log and did the TIM Assessment, also.
I also just found out I'll be teaching several classes of 6th grade computer science next year. Anybody with good advice please email me: jacksonmaryb@pcsb.org.
It has been great working with Jackie and the people in our group. You all have taught me a lot.

I met with my principal today to share my portfolio and training log. I will bring the portfolio and Principal's Survey tomorrow night. I've emailed my Training Log and Reflections to Ron and completed my online survey. I enjoyed presenting my portfolio to my principal - I am pretty proud of it! When I see all the incredibly cool things that others have done, I know there is lots and lots and lots out there that I don't know and don't know that I don't know! But it's been a great experience to try new things. I'm looking forward to seeing more everyone else's work tomorrow! 5.28.08

I have ponied my Conference with my Principal and the Training Log to Ron Kader on 3/22. I enjoyed meeting with Nell about the portfolio. She was very encouraging. I took the assessment on 3/21. The electronic portfolio was sent to Jackie on 3/23. I think I've done everything. There has been so much for us to do but I have loved every minute of it. It has made me use software that I would have never used before and will positively use again with my kids next year. I'm not sure what was my favorite thing. I really liked Photo Story and so did my kids but using MS Powerpoint for so many things has really opened up the way that I teach and lead workshops. I enjoyed putting together my electronic portfolio. It made me realize just how much I have done this year. CTIP has been an awesome experience!!

I met with my principal today and we spent about 45 minutes going over my CTIP portfolio and various other possibilities. I had met with her earlier to discuss the training log and principal's survey. The portfolio was sent to Jackie on Tuesday and the training log and and an initial survey was ponied to Ron on Tuesday as well. I am bring a follow up survey to Ron on Thursday night as well. She was quite impressed with the depth and number of the projects, and we talked at length about continuing to develop this type of curriculum during the summer. Being a Middle school instructor, with mostly gifted students, and having to go to an extended schedule of most likely 8 periods next year, she wants me to develop a year project-based class for these students, and an elective project class for the student population. Some of this will be based on the SECME curriculum incorporating mathematics and science, and we want to utilize the technology aspects in all facets of the development. She also wanted me to pass on many of the materials we were involved with to Ridgecrest where they are interested in developing curriculum for a potential Gifted Middle School. The class was definitely alot of work, but the rewards were great, and my students definitely benefited from their participation. Thanks to all who were helpful in getting me through this adventure.
