I am Dee Arose. I have been teaching going on 11 years. I am a Business major and was a Federal Court adminstrator prior to moving to FLorida. I spent several years as a stay at home mom. When my youngest child went to school, I started substituting and I did that for a number of years and did mostly long term substitutions and then started teaching full time. I taught fourth grade last year at Curtis Fundamental and I am looping up to fifth this coming year. I have been married for 24 years and have three children. I have a daughter who just graduated from St. Leo University and spent her last semester in Rome, Italy. I have another daughter who is a junior in college at UCF. My son is going to be a sophmore at Eastlake High School. I am very excited about working in CTIP this year, about my new computer equipment, and the new friends that I am making.

Hi, my name is Becky Bride and I am a CTIP participant. I teach at Palm Harbor University High School and have completed my 19th year of teaching. I will be teaching calculus and AP calculus next year. I have two children both in college. 5/30/07

Thought I'd see if I could upload a picture. This is Mt. Fuji, where I'm excited to be going in October. Well, probably not Mt. Fuji itself, but I hope to see it!

I'm Mary Jackson and will be teaching social studies at Pinellas Park Middle next year (did math last year). My daughter just graduated from college and is loving her job in Manhattan. I'm a native Floridian and have always enjoyed working with technology: I played Pong [reference to ancient video game ] a lot when it first came out! 5/30/07 Hi Mary, I shrunk your picture of Mt. Fuji because of the size. Until we get the premium status for our wiki we have to conserve our space. Ann 7:43 PM

Thanks, Ann. I took the original big jpg out of the Files, too. Mary 10 p.m.

Hello, my name is Angela Ciresi. I am a middle school math teacher at Coachman Fundamental. While I am fairly new to teaching, I am thrilled to be a part of the CTIP experience. I have a lot of classroom training experience in the hospitality industry and am looking forward to sharing new technology with my colleagues in education. I have two children, one of which turned 11 today (the reason this post is so late in the evening) and another that will be 15 on June 11th.

I am looking forward to working with all of you in the upcoming year.

My name is Eve Kleiser. I teach 11th grade English at Palm Harbor University High School. I am thrilled that we have four of us here at CITIP, especially since I know I am going to need support. It has been a great experience returning to the classroom. My first grandchild was born this year, and of course she is the BEST. And for those scrapbookers, you'll understand when I say I'm obsessed.

I'm Elisabeth Rose, otherwise known as "Lisa." I teach 9th and 12th grade IB English at Palm Harbor University High School. I'm one ESOL class away from my TTT certification, which I had to go through even though I was a college professor for eighteen years. Why did I switch to high school? Believe it or not, at least in the Language Arts, high school teachers make more money and have better job security than their higher-ed counterparts--spread the word! Now I've been teaching high school for two  years, and I love it. I wish I'd started sooner.

My name is Christina Ledbetter. I have taught 1st grade for 3 years, 2 years in 3rd grade and I am happy to say that I am looping with my best class yet to 4th grade. I am very excited about spending another year with these kiddos and their awesome parents as well. I am a little apprehensive about the new curriculum, but I know that already having the management piece in place will help me to quickly catch on. I, along with my kids, are very excited about this training and all the great tools I will have to take back to the classroom. I was accepted into the George Washington Teacher's Institute at Mt. Vernon and am excited about leaving for that trip next week.

Hello out there,

I'm Kathy Curry and I teach at Dunedin High School. Prior to DHS and six years at home when my kids were little, I taught at Kennedy and Carwise Middle Schools.

This coming year, I will continue to teach English 2, but will have the new experience of teaching Honors within our 'Fast Track BA' program. I'm really looking forward to using all that I'm learning this week (and will continue to learn all summer) about all of the great technology we're getting! This program is awesome; I'm very glad to be able to participate.

After CTIP, I'll be participating in PEAK and then AP Lit training...and after that, I'll be enjoying the summer with my boys, Andrew (11, in 6th grade next year) and Patrick (9, entering 4th grade) and our dogs (Riley and Skipper) and our new (old) sailboat! We love to go camping and kayaking, and we're looking forward to new adventures on 'Popeye'! (posted 5/31/07)

I love technology, taking digital pictures and am an avid scrapbooker.

Hello all. I am Laura Lynch and am originally from New York State but have been in Florida for 20 years. I have taught for five years and worked in the PR field before discovering how much fun it was to spend all day "hanging out" with kids in the classroom. This will be my fourth year at Brooker Creek Elementary teaching fourth grade, which I love. I have three wonderful daughters ranging from 21 to 7 (yes...I'm a bit crazy) and they certainly keep me hopping. I am having fun with CTIP and can't wait to have the time to play with all my new toys. It should be a fun year.

HI! I am Sue Payne and I have been teaching for 27 years. I LOVE my job! I'm certified in Business Education and currently teach Computer Applications II at John Hopkins Middle School...aka Sixteenth Street Middle School in south St. Petersburg. This is my 23rd year at the "Street"...and I love it there. I'm also the Yearbook Advisor...this was my first year. WOW!!!...what a job, but I loved every minute. My yearbook staff uses Adobe InDesign to create the yearbook...what a great program.

**I am married to Bob for 19 years this month. We have a son Bobby who just graduated from PPHS and a daughter Taylor who will attend PPHS Criminal Justice Academy next year. We love the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (as season ticket holders my husband and I had the opportunity to go to the Superbowl in San Diego to see our BUCS beat the H#@* out of the Raiders...that was AWESOME). As a family we love soccer, traveling, fishing, going to the beach, and I would say our favorite season is FOOTBALL season.

I look forward to using my cool new CTIP equipment in my classroom with my students. It should be a great year! GO BUCS! **

Hi, I'm Steven Reynolds, actually Dr. Steven Reynolds and I have been teaching for three years. I am a retired dentist and carried on in that profession for almost 17 years. Due to a back injury I sold my practice, and pursued other interests including finance and computer engineering, in which I have an engineering degree. I am certified to teach Chemistry, Mathematics, and MGIC, but I currently teach MEGSSS at Kennedy Middle School. We are in the process of becoming an IB MYP Magnet which is exciting indeed. I am married to Michelle Polek who is in her 30th year of teaching at Palm Harbor Elementary, primarily Kindergarden, which I admire tremendously. Why do they always use Kindergarden teachers as example of teachers to emuate multitasking, I'll never know....lol. I have two children, Ryan who will be a senior at Countryside in the TV Production curriculum...he wants to go to film school at FSU, and Rachael who will be entering Countryside this year. She is pursuing the Arts, and has already recorded in Nashville. We are so proud! I have thoroughly enjoyed this week in CTIP and just loved making the movie (was up til 1:30 last night playing). I guess my son has rubbed off on me. It will be great working with you all this year, and I look forward to helping my collegues at school providing them with the insights imparted to us by the CTIP teachers. And the goodies don't hurt! They will be so jealous. If I can help any of you with the computer aspects of the curriculum, please let me know. The best to all. 6/01/07
